Y-Lynx takes with succes the virtual-challenge during the Chopard boat race, Geneva

Y-Lynx, a provider of embedded solution for low-power wireless links, and zVisuel, a provider of 3D plateform will be showcasing a high-performance tracking solution during the 2005 Ferrier Lullin Challenge from 4th June to 25th September on internet.

How it works?:

The solution based on an accurate GPS receiver is connected to a control unit in charge to transfert the coordinate, speed and course of the boat to the radio transceiver module (TDMA 868MHz). The base station, connected to a PC, placed on the border of the lake collect information coming from boats. Every seconds, each boat is interogated by the base station allowing a better accuracy. All the data are sent on internet to the zVisuel Server for processing. In "real time" a 3D plateform performs virtual images of the race. Through internet, people can now follow the D35.
